The battle at Faudo begins.

Ah, yes, this is finally done. I'm sure anyone wo was waiting for this is aware that it's several months late, as it ends at the end of episode 128. But here is the manga Volume 20 scanlated by Anime-Destiny. We had problems finishing it because the anime has been the priority and it takes a very long time to finish an entire volume at once.

This volume spans the end of the Rein arc up until the end of the Keys battle. As has been stated before, we started doing the manga because the anime changes the manga's story and then ends the story quickly with a cliffhanger ending, so we started scanlating the manga from Volume 18, the beginning of the Faudo arc, in order to properly finish the story. Once we finish the anime we'll concentrate on the manga, and my current plan is to release a chapter a week and then release it as a full volume at the end.

K, go download and enjoy. Volume 21 is much farther on and shouldn't take too long. It's almost done with typsetting, which tends to take the longest. Then it needs to be edited and the changes between the anime and the manga have to be translated.
Volume 22 is the volume where the story's start to diverge, in the last two chapters. So, just in case anyone's not aware.

And it's well worth reading the manga since the artwork is so good and the story is so awesome. Ah well, I write way too much in these news posts anyway. Go download.

And here is episode 136. Sorry it's late, though I'm glad it's not REALLY late. Plus, since there aren't too many episodes left, maybe it'd nice to stretch it out a bit.

Speaking of which, if you don't know up until now, the anime's story diverges from the manga in a few episodes and quickly wraps up the story with battles that are mostly filler and seem cheap and way too fast. Though some of it is still very good, and it's worth watching.
That, as it turns out, starts diverging in the middle of episode 138. Not 137 as I said earlier, though parts of it are flashbacks to events that occcured during the time around 137, which is how we got confused.

As for this episode, it is the reprisal of Earth and Karudio. It is also the first appearance of the device to send Faudo back to the Demon World. (Which is never given a shorter name, and is reffered back to many times as "The device that sends Faudo back to the Demon World." even though it does other things.) We're now down to the wire, as the planned revival of Faudo is now just hours away, and time for any preparation is shortening. This episode mostly revolves around the conflicting philosophies of Earth and Karudio with Gash's group. It's a good episode. Though the one that follows this is my favorite... 137.

Volume 20 is now actually at the point where we will be releasing it soon now, that the really stalled process of translation editing and things have been finished. Volume 21 won't be done until after, but I'll make sure it's done really quickly, since now we want tog et to Volume 22 where the manga starts to diverge from the anime at the end. That way you all can get a good idea of how things are changed, because this arc is only about half over in terms of the manga. It's that good.

Sorry this episode is a couple days late, but that's much better than how we've been doing recently.

This episode is the real "exploring Faudo" episode. They've said they want to explore him for several episodes now, and now they actually are. Not just getting caught in a trap every couple minutes. It's also known as Momon's big emotional episode. His story continues more in the manga much later on, so read that when it comes out.

There was a scene in this part of the story in the manga that was taken out. Sunbeam had a plan to try and defeat Faudo's Heart to weaken Faudo after he was unsealed, but Faudo's Heart had a special shield to protect it. They took that out because they wouldn't be coming back to it in the anime later on, since his continuation happened after the anime ended. So you'll have to read the manga for that.

As for the manga, Volumes 20 and 21 are probably going to come out at around the same point, because V21 is almost done and V20 is still in its final check stage it's been in for like, months. I'm trying to get other people to finish that because bayoab doesn't have much time for it, with all the other stuff he does for us.

Ok, this episode is done. Sorry this one also took a while, like 3 weeks. Chibi`Ayame who was doing translation checks won't be able to come back for a while, if at all, so we have to rely on other guys who have a lot less time on their hands to do this than he did. Everything else seems to be going at a fast enough pace. Also we lost the buffer that we had with Chibi`Ayame, who had done usually like 3 episodes in advance, so the other processes like quality checking would have more time so we could get one out a week. I'll try to get things done.

We're still working on the manga, I'm trying to get bayoab to finish Volume 20 which has been in the final stage for weeks now. I'm still typsetting Volume 21. This episode marks the start of Volume 22 though. Just know that once the anime ends we'll have plenty more time to work on the manga and do it at a good pace.

As for this episode, I really like it, too. Here we learn more about Alishie as well as Zaruchimu and Wonlei who are starting to finally act. Now as these events pass, the time to awaken Faudo comes closer, and if he's not awakened at that time, all of the cursed Book Keepers will die.

K, sorry for it taking so long, again. See, this tends to happen when a series of unfortunate events occur at once, and it often involves somebody exaggerating the truth. If you care at all why, which I'm sure most don't, skip the next paragraph.

Chibi`Ayame checks lines for episodes of Gash because a lot of the time there are some ~10 lines that need to be checked from bayoab's original translation. He usually does the episodes far in advance, but kept being delayed with something or other I don't remember anymore. And then the week before 132 came out his computer broke, which he apparantly needs to do translation checking. So then he kept saying it would take a week before he would have everything fixed, then it turned out he needed to repair some hardware, then it turned out it couldn't be fixed at all. During this time, all the people I usually ask to fill in for him, about 3 people, were all busy with college exams and various other things. So then eventually I got someone to fill in that I had to pay five bucks for out of the group funds. Edward_K got him for me. So... Now until Chibi`Ayame gets a new laptop or someone else can fill in the plan is to use that guy NecroCyprene for translation checking.
Also, neji wasn't around (because there wasn't time to wait for him) so bayoab had to wait a few days to get someone he knew to check a line for him in his final quality check of the episode. So that's how it took a month and a few days to finish this episode. Hopefully the changes made will keep any long delays from happening after this.

As for the episode, I really like this one as well. As there are only a few episodes left of the anime that strictly follow the anime, which starts to diverge at episode 139, it's more so... significant. Now Kiyomaro's group has to get through the trials of the innards of Faudo, while the time for Faudo's ressurrection gets closer.

Volume 20 is still in the last stage, it's just the same guy who does a lot of other stuff is the one who's doing that last stage, bayoab, so it's kinda taking a while.
Volume 21 is being worked on and we've made a descent dent in that as well. It should be easier since it's almost exactly the same as the anime.

By the way, I'd made a mistake before, this episode's end marks the end of Volume 21, not 134. So now we're 2 volumes behind... I swear we'll catch up once things get more on the ball.
