We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days,
Through the fire and the flames we carry on.

Sorry it's a bit late. Took a while to get all the QCs done, then I had time problems finishing it.

This volume's really awesome. It's a long battle that explores character well while keeping things like power, strategy and balance in the fight important.
The story of Alishie and Zaruchimu is basically the same as in the anime save for its end. The rest is completely different, and Fango's story gives us a better understanding of Godyufa and its influence and how characters react to it. Really this is one of my favorite arcs. It also begins the fight against Gyaron and Cherish, which was all filler in the anime. Mostly because between the chapters of this manga volume and the next Raiku broke his hand and caused a hiatus of the manga for a few months, then the anime caught up to it and the sponsors decided not to renew it, so they created the filler ending you saw.
So check it out, it's awesome.

I said we would continue by chapter from here, but at the rate I've been able to go we probably won't need to. I've translated quite a bit, I'm somewhere in the beginning of Volume 28 now. From here we'll be cleaning the manga and typsetting it which shouldn't take so long that we'll have to release the manga in issues or halves, I think. So expect V25 and past there in some amount probably a little longer than a week.
Movie 2 is steadily being translated. OVA 1 I need to finish, I'll get to that soon.

Ok, go enjoy the manga.
Oh, and submit color pics, it's fun. We could use more.

Standing before their fate...

not one could become the king.

Ook, this is out finally. Not that it's a late release just that it's been coming for a while. This volume is where things for the most part are clearly different from the anime. The stories here are completely different from the versions in the original except Riou's fight against Zeon. But you see here how the usurption of Faudo occurs earlier and changes everything. And it's all a ton better. Enjoy.
In these chapters are where I first started keeping up with the Gash manga those several years ago... and now we've finally scanlated it.
Well Volume 24 should be done next week. I finished translating V25 and it's almost done being cleaned, so depending on how long it takes to typeset we might just release it all at once rather than have to go chapter by chapter. I'm hoping to catch up quickly. So then we need to do V26, which I've just translated a little.

The OVA and movie are being worked on. But only once we've gotten to a good pace with the manga, probably past we're releasing chapters, are they going to get released, if you want a general idea.

Edit: There was an error with one of the pages, so if you're downloading the torrent redownload it with the one I replaced it with. I updated all the other sources.

Release : Konjiki no Gash!! Volume 22 Released!!

Start down the other path...

http://anime-destiny.edwardk.info/[A-Destiny]_Konjiki_No_Gash!!-v22.zip.torrent

Ok, so this is finally out after beind delayed for so so long. This was probably done... I've got 8 months ago. But because of working on the anime we couldn't get anybody to QC it. And I was busy last week so that's why it wasn't released then.

Anyway, this is Volume 22. The major changes from the anime start in here. Kiyomaro's configuration of the device to send Faudo back to the Demon World is more detailed and he describes how he "sets it so it can't be manipulated from the brain" "locked so it can't be changed" and screws up Faudo's aiming systems as well so he can't shoot the land. As well, the time until Faudo would reach Japan is MUCH shorter than the 6 hours in the anime.
Then the major difference starts in the last chapter when they reenter Faudo and everyone except Kiyomaro and Gash are blown out, forcing them to face Riou alone.

It's worth reading, and I think the other volumes in this arc are as well. We're aiming on releasing V23 next week then V24 after that. Then probably release everything from there by chapter. I'd like to try to get more then one chapter done a week, we'll see how things go.

Still working on OVA 1 and Movie 2. We'll do OVA 2 after those are done.

K, enjoy guys.

Release : Konjiki no Gash Bell!! 150 Released!! KnGB!! Completed

At least, don't take away our sprout of freedom, from those of us who can't be relied upon. As long as we fulfill our duty to give it water, that's all we have to do, right?

141-150 Batch
http://anime-destiny.edwardk.info/[A-Destiny]_Konjiki_no_Gash_Bell_141-150_[BATCH].torrent

Well, we're all done. This is the last episode of Konjiki no Gash Bell!! the series. I stuck a "final credits" thing on the end which is why it's like 4 minutes longer than a normal episode. Thought it was worth it to thank everyone who worked on this project so I put it there.

I started working on this in 2005, then the group was all screwed up and basically no one was working on anything. Eventually the whole staff got replaced and I had to make my way up to head of the group from the bottom and learn how to do everything. And since then it's happened a ton, people coming and going. But I always made sure we kept trying no matter how difficult things got. People would leave in the middle of doing a job and not say anything. People would say they would do something and wouldn't, and plenty of the time we couldn't get all the help we needed to do jobs, usually losing things we had once had. But we kept going for the sake of subbing this show that I think was really something good. So thanks to everyone who helped out. And thanks for everyone who supported us by watching it.

I learned everything I know about fansubbing through working on this show. I learned Japanese over it, though I'm still learning I can translate now. So I really feel something special toward it. This is the 100th episode I timed, incidentally. And thanks to bayoab, who has been on almost as long as me and never quit, always did what he had to to get everything done. He translated most of this show now and checks and everything to work with me to do all this.

As for the episode, it's a bittersweet ending because there's no real resolution with Zeon except "he's vengeful and hateful". Then somehow they destroy Faudo after everyone saying "there's no way you can" and then they just do. Then there's the special second half of Kasabuta ending and a final scene after the credits. The scene after the credits is similar to something that occurs in the manga in the last volume, so it does have some sense of closure to a story that otherwise really had none. At least things like the animation are good and for what the anime did to end where it did, it did well.

Now we're gonna be concentrating on the manga. Which does have a thorough ending. I'm hoping we can get the 3 volumes that have been in check forever one a week from here and then continue doing chapters, or like 1-2 chapters a week, then bundling them as volumesat the end. We're also working on Movie 2 and the 2 OVA episodes. Movie 2 and OVA 1 are being translated, the OVA is pretty short so I want to get that done in not too long. But we're gonna try to work on the manga, because as I said before, we're way behind.

Remember, the anime splits off from the manga near the end of Volume 22, though there are a few differences earlier on in the Faudo arc which starts at V18, where we started. So you could start from either place, or from the beginning if you want to go find those scanlations, if you want to see the story's proper end.

Ok, thanks everybody. This big task has finally been finished. Remember to keep walking, because every dark tunnel has an exit.

Release : Konjiki no Gash Bell!! 149 Released!!

We don't want to forget the passion we felt from being covered in scabs.

Woo, finally. Sorry this is so late guys. People had college finals and it really REALLY slows down the QCing.
150's done basically so that won't take too long.

This episode is basically the fight between Gash and Zeon. For those who haven't read the manga it has something like spoilers, as it contains sorta warped or weakened versions of the manga's version of the material from Volumes 28 and 33. So be aware.
As for anything like logic, it's thrown out the window in exchange for shock value and action. The "scenery" and "change" lines from the manga are taken to be not only story relevant, but more like Zeon and Dufoux's mantra. In the manga "see different scenery" meant "I want to look out Faudo's window at the stars as they move." And "change" meant something like "become powerful". Here "scenery" means "view of the world" and "change" means nothing really...
The anime does give a nice conclusion as it harkens back to the original story from the beginning, and gives a contrast between Gash and Zeon based on what they've achieved. Which makes Kasabuta being played in the background more sense. Though the manga gives a much deeper and complex and interesting story, so look forward to that. In all, this story is good much lacks depth, so it's fine to watch and enjoy without thinking too much about it.

As for the manga, I've gotten some people to help check so that shouldn't be a problem. We should be able to get the three volumes we've done besides being checked soon, 22-24. We're still working on chapters past that, and we know we're behind, but as I said before it's because all our resources are working on the anime until it's done.
Plus a whole lot of stuff later on in the manga is done from when the chapters first came out. Starting from like V27.

Movie 2 is still being worked on. Movies are about the length of 4 episodes, so it takes a while to translate, time, etc. Especially for a non-speed group. I'm aiming to finish OVA 1 before then if possible as it's only 15 minutes long.

Ok, I've talked way too much. Go enjoy guys.
