I believe there’s a error in the subs, where they talk about the cooking fest is once every 4 years, but subtitles only said once a year.

The society in this world is as interesting for their approach to mega-architecture as too food. They really like their mile high skyscrapers and stadiums that dont just dwarf high rise flats but make them look like its built amongst slums!
That Bridge for example has got be nearly a kilometer wide!
